Installing iQ.Suite Domino on SUSE Linux Enterprise 12

Problem

How can iQ.Suite for Domino be installed on Domino 9.0.1 under SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12?

Solution

iQ.Suite for Domino can be installed on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 (SLES 12) under the following circumstances:

  • 64 bit version of Domino 9.0.1, Fix Pack 3 Interim Fix 1 or higher
  • Following software packages must be installed.

Some of the packages listed below must be installed even if a newer version of the package has already been installed. This is the case when the newer package has a different internal library name (for example libstdc++.so.6 stattlibstdc++.so.5). The new package also has a new package name (not only a new version number). It may be co-installed with the older package and will not replace it.

32-bit packets and 64-bit packets must be installed:

32-bit packets:

Library SLES 12
libc.so.6 glibc-32bit
libgcc_s.so.1 libgcc_s1-32bit
libstdc++.so.5 libstdc++33-32bit
libz.so.1 libz1-32bit
WARNING

The libstdc++33-32bit packet is part of the SLES 12 Legacy Module. If it has not been installed previously, the Legacy Module must be added prior to installation of the libstdc++33-32bit packet.

Support for the Legacy Module is time-limited. When SUSE discontinues support fort he Legacy Module, GBS will also cease. For continued support, it will be necessary to upgrade to a newer version, which no longer requires the Legacy Module.

64-bit packet

Library SLES 12
libpng12.so.0 libpng12-0
Library SLES 12
libpng12.so.0 libpng12-0-32bit
libstdc++.so.5 libstdc++33-32bit

Use the following command to view the architecture of the currently installed software:

					rpm --qf '%{Arch}\t%{Name}-%{Version}-%{Release}\n' -q <Paketname>
