Problem
Kaspersky Scan Engine no longer initializes.
Log notification: KAV_E_LICENSE_EXPIRED_OR_MISSING: No valid license found or license expired
Solution
A valid kav.key file is required to initialize the Kaspersky scan engine and deploy current pattern versions in the Kaspersky scan engine (integrated in iQ.Suite Watchdog).
The kav.key file is provided by Kaspersky and has a pre-defined expiration date.
The expiration date in the current versions of iQ.Suite is June 1, 2019.
In older versions of iQ.Suite Domino, that may no longer be supported, the expiration date has already passed. Should this be the case, it is crucial to update iQ.Suite or the kav.key file.
Versions affected:
iQ.Suite Domino 18.x (Unix versions)
How to exchange expired KAV.KEY file:
In the following section, you will find the standard paths, various email systems and operating systems. The variable %EXECDIR% indicates the path for the program directory of your iQ.Suite installation, %ProgramFiles% indicates the path of your Windows program directory.
- Download current kav.key file from www.gbs.com › Services › Support.
